Alex Ramos Accident Obituary, Death – Bloomfield Tow Truck Driver Killed While Helping a Stranded Motorist

The Bloomfield, Connecticut, community is mourning the loss of Alex Ramos, a husband, father, son, and tow truck driver who was killed while working along Tunxis Avenue.

Ramos was responding to a roadside towing call on the evening of September 8 when he was struck while loading a vehicle. Police said the crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Tunxis Avenue. Emergency personnel found Ramos suffering from severe trauma, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ramos worked for Governor’s Auto Body & Towing in East Hartford. A coworker described him as a dedicated worker and family man, while community members have rallied around his loved ones following the tragedy.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. As of the latest reports, no charges had been filed.
